Macário Correia will promote this Friday the last dialogue with the citizens through the social network Facebook, a practice that the still president of the Chamber of Faro maintained throughout much of his term. Starting at 19 o'clock, on the City of Faro, the mayor will be online to respond live «to all questions, suggestions, criticisms or recommendations that arise from the citizens».
«Over 3 years, this unprecedented initiative had more than two dozen sessions, having always been present with the objective of contributing to a proximity with the citizens, through the promotion of a participative and dialogic citizenship between the Mayor and the residents of Faro», recalled the municipality.
Macário Correia is not running for office in Sunday's elections, although he is not legally prevented from doing so. But, taking into account a process that is still going on in the Supreme Administrative Court, of violation of territorial planning instruments, the sanction of which could be loss of mandate, the PSD and the coalition currently in power in Faro they chose Rogério Bacalhau as the candidate for the presidency of the Chamber.
