The automated call and user flow management system at the Health Center of Portimão was changed at the beginning of September, in an initiative of the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve, through the Information and Communication Systems Nucleus.

In that unit, about two thousand consultations are processed per day, which is the Health Center with the highest traffic at ACES Barlavento.

The change in the service management system involved the installation of ARS Algarve's own technical means that use basic software for free use, duly adapted and configured to the reality of the Health Center of Portimão by the Information and Communication Systems Nucleus.
This system replaces the previous one put into pilot experience by a private company.

The ARS emphasizes that this way “any financial burden is avoided and already existing material and human resources are profited”.

The changes were implemented outside the Health Center's opening hours, in order to ensure every effort and avoid any negative impact on users, which was achieved, since the new system is already operating successfully. in the Resource Query of the Day module.

The Portimão Health Centre, which opened in June 2012, is one of the largest in the country and the most modern health equipment in the Algarve.

ARS Algarve would like to express its gratitude to Visualforma, the private partner who was responsible for the pilot experience that ended, and to Newvision, the supplier of the now discontinued equipment, for their demonstrated commitment and dedication.
