Portimonense was defeated 3-0 by Benfica B, in a game played at the Lisbon team's Centro de Estágios do Seixal, today, Monday. The Algarve team added the second consecutive defeat in the championship, against a Benfica B that had four players “on loan” by the main team.

Still without any victory for the II Liga championship, the second team from Lisbon asked for reinforcements and they arrived. Defenders Steven Vitória, Jardel and Melgarejo, and midfielder André Gomes, were regulars and gave another dimension to Benfica B.

Benfica's victory began to be drawn in the 34th minute, by Rúben Pinto, who scored after a cross by João Cancelo.

In the second half, Hélder Costa extended the advantage, reloading a shot by the “reinforcement” André Gomes, in the 66th minute, and the Spaniard Lolo closed the count, in the 88th minute, assisted by Ivan Cavaleiro.

With this result, Portimonense drops to 14th position, when four rounds of the II League are played, with four points, thanks to the victory and draw achieved in the first two rounds.
