Olhanense today beat Paço de Ferreiras at Estádio Algarve by a zero ball, in a game that even had several setbacks. Pelé was sent off in added time in the first half, after managing to see two yellow cards in the same play, but the numerical inferiority ended up not being noticed much.
The Algarvians benefited from the misfortune of the northern team, ranked third in the last championship, which sent three balls to the irons in the first half. In the second half, even with one more player, the lack of effectiveness continued to haunt Paços, who in some cases missed great opportunities to score. Olhanense could even have extended their advantage several times, in counterattack plays.
The only goal of the match was scored after 15 minutes by Mehmeti, Olhanense's forward who makes his debut in the I League. A goal with the mark of the central pacense Ricardo, who made a defective delay for his goalkeeper and allowed himself to be anticipated.
Throughout the game, the physical difficulties of some Algarve players were notorious. In the first few minutes, coach Abel Xavier was forced to replace central Ferreira, who was injured, by Vitor Bastos. Mehmeti also came out with physical problems.
