The Lethes Theatre, in Faro, receives on June 7 the show by «Ricardo Coelho Projet» in another edition of «Uma Friday de Jazz» by Associação Grémio das Músicas (AGM). The quartet will present a repertoire very focused on modern jazz, with a strong focus on sounds with an Iberian flavor.

The show will have references to musicians such as Andalusian Chano Dominguez and Chick Corea in themes such as La Fiesta or Spain.

«In this musical itinerary we will also be able to hear the irregular rhythms of musicians such as Hermeto Pascoal, Dave Brubeck and his famous «Blue rondo à la turk», passing through an interesting interpretation of Bach in “swing”», announced the Algarve association.

In addition to the pianist who gives the project its name, who despite being born in Lisbon and trained in Évora, is based in the Algarve, Lethes Teresa da Silva (vocals), Renato Madeira (double bass) and Amadis Monteiro (drums) will be on stage.

The initiative «Uma sixth de Jazz» is the result of a partnership between AGM and ACTA – The Algarve Theater Company, which is responsible for the management of Faro's cultural space.
