Miguel Praia is already preparing the second race of the Brazilian Moto 1000GP championship, the competition in which he participates in this 2013 season, driving a Honda CBR 1000 with the colors of Center Moto.
After having faced the Interlagos circuit with his motorcycle in the first race, still without any technical preparation, in this second stage of the championship, in Curitiba, the Albufeira rider will already have a more technically elaborated bike, counting for that. with the help of the well-known José Carlos Saraiva, one of the most emblematic Portuguese trainers who will put all his experience in the preparation of the CBR 1000RR of the Algarve pilot.
“Zé Carlos is a name that needs no introduction, especially when it comes to preparing Honda motorcycles. His experience with riders like Gilson Scudeler – who is currently the promoter of this same Brazilian championship – and the victories he conquered are demonstrations of his ease and that is why he is a very important help for this second race», said Miguel Praia.
«For me the championship is starting now and if the points of the ninth position achieved in Interlagos are important, now I will be much more competitive. My bike will undergo a slimming cure and will be equipped with components that will allow me to increase power to very close to 200 horsepower, which will put the bike in the Center Moto colors at the same level as the bikes that were on the podium at the first race. That's why I aim to be on the podium at the end of the Curitiba race», added the Algarve driver.
The Curitiba track, which hosts this second round of the Moto 1000GP 2013, has a perimeter of 3.695 meters and a total of fifteen curves, having been inaugurated in 1967 to host many national and international competitions since then.
This second race of the Brazilian championship is thus faced with great expectation on the part of the Portuguese rider, who now feels truly equipped to discuss the first positions of the larger class, reserved for motorcycles with 1000cc capacity.
