Seminars, workshops, exhibitions and exhibitions are part of the Algarve Design Meeting, which will take place on the 30th and 31st of May, with free admission, at the Municipal Museum of Faro, at the headquarters of Tertúlia Algarvia and at the headquarters of the National Association of Designers.
During the two days of the meeting, there will be several thematic workshops, and there will also be a space dedicated to the exhibition and commercialization of products, which have somehow been looking for new forms of expression and visibility in the area of design.
The program also includes the inauguration of the headquarters of the AND – National Association of Designers, on Rua Conselheiro Bivar, in Faro, and the 2nd edition of the Exhibition of works by final year students of the Communication Design Course at the School of Education and Communication of the University of Algarve. The openings, at the headquarters of the AND, are scheduled for May 31, at 21:30 pm.
O Algarve Design Meeting it targets students, researchers, professors and professionals in the field of design, creative industries, companies, institutions, human resources, public relations, marketing, communication professionals and the general public.
O Algarve Design Meeting is an event that has been held annually in the city of Faro, organized by the Communication Design Course (Communication, Arts and Design Department of the University of Algarve – ESEC), in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve. This year it has the support of AND – National Association of Designers.
«In order to continue to stimulate cooperation and strengthen the dialogue between designers and different business or institutional bodies, we intend to reflect on the importance and intervention of communication design in entrepreneurial, innovative and multidisciplinary projects that somehow have contributed to boosting some product, service, region, etc.», stresses the organization.
“With this third edition, we intend to demonstrate once again the importance of Design as a strategic and fundamental discipline for economic, social or cultural development”, he adds.
