Olhanense lost this Monday against Vitória de Guimarães at home by 2-1, in a game in which they seem to be able to complain about a goal badly invalidated in added time.

He can also complain, once again, about the lack of effectiveness of his strikers, who only managed to achieve one (or two, with the goal disallowed) of the various occasions that the team created.

The disallowed goal was a decision much contested by the Olhanense team, which ended the game asking the refereeing team to be satisfied. Moments of some confusion, which turned out to be just words.

On the field, Olhanense showed a desire to win and was always a bold and balanced team for the attack. A tendency that became more evident in the second half, when the Algarve started to play with two spearheads and, closer to the end, replaced a central defender with a winger.

In the first thirty minutes, the Algarvians were the ones who managed to create the most attacking moves and sustain the opponent's, even though they were very wasteful. First Leandro and then Rui Duarte failed to score when they had good conditions to do so.

Guimarães played, at this time, at a low pace and scored in the first real danger play they created. On minute 38, Soudani headed into the goal defended by Bracalli, after a good cross by Marco Matias.

The visitors' second goal didn't take long, again by Soudani, who on 41 minutes made the best use of a pass from Tiago Rodrigues to the back of the Algarve defense, dodged Bracalli and hit the back of the net. Two buckets of cold water before the break for the Olhanense team and fans.

For the second half, Manuel Cajuda brought in veteran scorer Djalmir and the bet proved to be the right one. On 65 minutes, at a time when he already had the support of Djaniny, the player who returned to the team months after retiring headed the Olhanense goal.

Shortly thereafter, Djaniny could have equalized, but failed, shooting over when he had everything to score, following a cross from Babanco, who minutes earlier had provided the assist for the goal.

Olhanense bet everything on attack, especially after Cajuda brought in Evandro Brandão through central Vasco Fernandes, pulling midfielder Fernando Alexandre back to the center of defense. The forward still tasted the foot, but the assistant referee signaled offside, apparently badly.

The game was confused from this moment on, with the Olhanense bench in real turmoil, even because the line inspector who raised the flag was very close. The manager of the Algarve team Filipe Sousa was even expelled.

With this result, Olhanense remains in a delicate position in the I League, just above the waterline and just one point behind the last classified Beira-mar. The Algarve team, now in 14th position, has the same points as Moreirense (15th) and the academic (13th).
