The young Algarve company We Make Productions has just launched, in PPL platform, a campaign of through crowdfunding, to raise the 3000 euros necessary for the purchase of a Black Magic Cinema Camara camcorder.
giving the name of black magic dream, the project «was created with the aim of raising money for the realization of a dream that has been in the heads of the entire We Make Productions team for some time», explained Pedro Águas, one of the company's young founders, to Sul Informação.
«The acquisition of this camera will bring to the We Make Productions new work possibilities and open new paths so that we can grow as a project, thus achieving one of our greatest dreams, which is to achieve a highly professional level, in order to gain a good position in the audiovisual market», he added.
According to Pedro Águas, «currently we shoot with a 5D, a camera that shoots in HD, but which does not have the technical definitions that this Black Magic allows».
With the new machine, the company that began by dedicating itself to the production of audiovisuals and was founded by two young people, Pedro Águas and Ricardo Flôxo, from the Communication Design course at the University of Algarve, will be able to «film cinema with high resolution, with definitions and image quality that will allow us to offer even greater quality to the customer».

Supports can vary between a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 1000 euros, and guarantee rewards to all those who support. In the case of the Black Magic Dream project, rewards take the form of services and products provided by We Make Productions.
Thus, those who donate 5 euros receive public thanks on social networks, those who donate 20 euros receive an original illustration in A5 format, followed by Poster Design (40 euros), Logo Design (100 euros), Motiongraphics up to 1 :30min (300 euros) plus a promotional video for up to 10 minutes (1000 euros).
The young entrepreneurs in the Algarve guarantee that the money acquired through this project will be solely and exclusively for the acquisition of Black Magic Cinema Camara, which has the value of 2.495 Euros and the corresponding Light Cage for 495 euros, not taking the money any other destination.
If, over the 60 days of the campaign, they do not manage to raise the 3000 euros, all the money will be returned to the donors, embodying the “all or nothing” logic of the campaigns. through crowdfunding.
Currently, We Make Productions integrates a team of four people and is a communication and design agency, offering graphic design, photography, illustration, video and even landscape architecture services.
However, as Pedro Águas points out, his core business continues to be the video. In this context, the We Make Productions has made video clips, institutional videos for commercial and solidarity purposes, promotional videos for advertising campaigns, motion graphics and even 3D.
To take a step forward in the services they offer, they now need to acquire the Black Magic camera, and, because they have no equity, they decided to launch, last week, the campaign of through crowdfunding. In a few days, they already have six supporters and managed to gather 1% of the necessary funds.
