The MOBILEHOME Exhibition [articular] Território, which will present the works carried out in the scope of the 2012 edition, and which will be curated by Nuno Faria and João Soares, opens tomorrow and can be seen until March 30, at CECAL – Center for Experimentation and Artistic Creation of Loulé (CECAL), in the Municipal Park of this city.

The project MOBILEHOME – Experimental, independent and nomadic art school, dedicated the fourth edition, held from 13 to 19 August 2012, to the theme [articulate] territory, bringing together a group of people who have mostly been developing their projects in the Algarve region in areas such as design, photography, anthropology or gastronomy.

The common characteristic of these projects is that they establish a strong relationship with the place and, through the microscale, reactivate the unique potential of this territory, looking for traces of union and continuity between tradition and contemporaneity, identity and multiculturality.

It is about reversing an otherwise outdated paradigm that is based on a relationship of superficiality and alienation with the place in order to propose a new way of inhabiting and building articulations in the territory.

It is not strange, therefore, that gastronomy has been the fulcrum of this edition's project and that it has been around several exemplary projects of an articulation with the place – in the field of agriculture, the production of olive oil, wine or perfumes, for example – that the work of the Workshop and the open conversations at the end of the afternoon had been pored over.

The working group that integrates the Exhibition is composed of Albio Nascimento and Kathi Stertzig, Maria Archer, Eglantina Monteiro, Gonçalo Guerreiro, Jennifer Gomes, Joana & Mariana, João Rei, João Soares, Miguel Cheta, Milita Doré, Nuno Faria, Sandra Nobre (Observer), Vasco Célio, Chef Guy Doré (Special Participation).

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:30 pm.

Admission is free.
