The Solidarity Christmas Party held this Monday, at the Ilídio Setúbal Municipal Pavilion, in Vila Real de Santo António, collected a hundred kilos of food that has already been delivered to the municipality's Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS).
Additionally, 500 euros were raised in donations that will be used to buy more food.
The event was organized by the City Council of VRSA, the real estate agency ERA and the Public Security Police (PSP) and offered an afternoon with music, theater, dance, folklore, skating and lots of entertainment.
Admission was free, but subject to the donation of a food item, which reverted to the IPSS.
In addition to the solidarity aspect, the conviviality was intended to celebrate the Christmas of the Casas do Avô of VRSA and Monte Gordo, from the VRSA Day Centre, young people from the Choices Program and students from the Fundação Real Madrid's social integration sports school.
It was also part of the solidarity projects of real estate ERA and the proximity policing program developed by the PSP.
