Talk about snowboarding in Faro, for more inside four walls, it looks like a fantasy, but it will even become reality tonight, Friday, for tomorrow, in the first visit to Portugal of «K2 Snowboard in the City».
The event will bring professional practitioners of this modality, some well known in the field and install at the Cidade da Música disco, in Faro, equipment that will allow those who want to show their worth, even those who have never put a board on their feet.
In addition to the skitrax synthetic snow track, which anyone can try, there will be a strong commitment to music, suitable for the occasion. The Algarve's SirAiva, official K2 Snowboard DJ, are joined by DJ Ronin and Toby One, «one of the greatest talents of European DJing and well known by Portuguese boardriders», who attended the Academic Week in May, revealed the organization. The master of ceremonies will be Mosaik, «the excellent speaker of action sports in Portugal».
According to the organization, between midnight and one in the morning, the track will be open for those who want to try some descents, try some obstacles or simply experience the feeling of having a board at their feet. Anyone who wishes can bring their snowboarding boots, although the organization makes them available, «but not the board», since only the boards that K2 will supply on the site can be used on the track.
Between 1:30 am and 2:30 am, space will be given to the most experienced and professional snowboarders, invited by K2, the brand that sponsors them. Special guests who will always be there to help anyone who wants to “evolve”.
Those who go to Cidade da Música will also have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the night, namely t-shirts, DVDs, wristbands», among others. «All this will be drawn, thrown, thrown, offered», during the party.
