This Friday, the Algarve driver Miguel Praia registered 14th place in the provisional qualification of the Supersport World Championship race at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, a position similar to that achieved last year for the starting grid.
Praia returns to competition this weekend, but with the Ten Kate Honda team.
Bearing in mind that this is the first journey with the new bike and technical structure, in a day dedicated exclusively to adaptation, Miguel Praia was very happy with the result obtained.
“I was initially concerned with finding the championship and adapting the bike to my riding style. Of course I felt the normal difficulties of someone who has been away from the tracks for several months but in the end everything went well. We are close to a position on the second row, which is our goal for the grid”, said the Portuguese driver, who tomorrow will still have the opportunity, in the second timed practice, to gain positions.
Miguel Praia's race, for those who do not have the opportunity to travel to the Algarve, can be seen on Sunday, 23 September, live from 13.30h on RTP2, and on Eurosport.
