16 speakers accepted the challenge of, in 5 minutes, sharing theories, convictions, personal experiences or professional bets, through 20 support slides that will automatically rotate every 15 seconds: Tomé and Sousa (“Exceptional World” theme); Deize Serrano (“I do what I like”); Filipe Faria (“Talking, Making and Showing”); Arão Guerreiro (“I need Ignite!”); Elsa Correia (“Alzheimer's Disease, memory fragments”); Pedro Frias (“Quick ways to get out of paradise”); Sílvia Aguiar (“Laser in Aesthetics”); Hélder Encarnação (“Psoriasis is faithful”); Nuno Silva (“Identities and Wills”); Inês Pereira (“The Age of Voyeurism”); Vítor Silva (“(Un)desired Behaviors”); Ana Rosa (“Life Purpose”); Tiago Freire (“Self-esteem for what?”); Rui Silva (“Health through Nature…”); Mafalda Furtado (“Waves, a prince and the rats (…)”); and Luís Pica (“Crisis of Values?! The Yes and the No!”).

Those interested in attending must first register, mandatory and free, in http://www.ignitealgarve.com, and it should be noted that, as is customary at these monthly meetings, Ignite Portimão will support a social solidarity institution, in this case the Associação Flor Amiga, which promotes a campaign to collect used but reusable school material, including backpacks, cases, notebooks , pencils, pens, basic Portuguese dictionaries, dossiers and erasers, for users and children with economic difficulties and who are enrolled in other associations.

After the meeting, there will be an after Ignite for the first time, with the aim of reinforcing the spirit of conviviality, which will take place at Taberna Cool 33, in the heart of the city.

The initiative is organized by the company Worklovers/Ignite Algarve and the Municipality of Portimão, with the support of etic-algarve – Technical School of Image and Communication, Aqui Há Arte Gallery, Multicopy Printing Center and newspaper Sul Informação.

shared inspiration

The Ignite concept emerged in 2006 in the city of Seattle and was conceived by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis, having since then spread to the four corners of the planet, from Paris to Beijing, passing through Munich, Budapest, Los Angeles, London, New York and many more cities.

In Portugal, these meetings were introduced in 2009 and the Algarve region already has around 50 presentations, namely in S. Brás de Alportel, Loulé and Albufeira, with the Ignite Algarve team committed to taking this late-afternoon event to each municipality. relaxed, pedagogical and inspiring.
