The Didgeridoo Festival - FATT 2012 takes place from August 9th to 11th, at Sítio das Fontes, Estombar, Lagoa, and promises to run a lot of water and apply for one of the best Didgeridoo festivals in Europe. This edition will be named “DreamTime”, in honor of the Australian Aboriginal People.

With a breathtaking landscape and a venue full of novelties, this year the Portuguese Didgeridoo Association (APD) celebrates 10 years since the first didgeridoo festival in Portugal. It's been “10 years of many changes and evolution of the didgeridoo in our country. This year could not be different, once again the Festival will take place in a new place», stresses the organization.

The program includes thematic workshops, African dance and masterclasses during the day, and concerts at night, but not only… this year there will also be hiking, environmental education and an area dedicated to children, the FATT-Kids.

With regard to concerts, the amphitheater of Sítio das Fontes will pass Ondrej Smeykal (Czech Republic), airtist (Hungary/Germany), Nicolas Couzic (France), OliveTreeDance (Portugal), Allatantou Dance (Portugal), Rodrigo Viterbo (Portugal), Ethnic Drop (Portugal), Yanodoo (Portugal) and sentry (Portugal).

The organization guarantees that more artists will be present with solo and duo projects on Friday night (August 9th).

The opening of the festival will take place on that day, at 18:00. In addition to concerts, the event is full of masterclasses, workshops and other activities for the entire public, promoted by teachers and monitors, for those who want to deepen their knowledge in different areas.

At the festival site, there will be local and international handicrafts, highlighting the sale of various instruments.

The site of Sitio das Fontes will be divided into five areas: car and caravan parking, camping, stands, performance area and workshops area.

Tickets cost between 10 euros (daily ticket) and 25 euros (three days). When purchasing any ticket, participants have access to the camping, concerts, workshops and free activities of the day. Access to Masterclasses is purchased separately.
