The Health Regulatory Authority considered the Hospital Particular do Algarve as the only 5 star rated Private Hospital in the Algarve.
From the check up carried out by the ERS to the Portuguese Health System, which evaluated 146 Public, Private and Social Sector Hospitals (Misericórdias and IPSS), only 42 (representing 29%) revealed a flawless clinical condition and were distinguished with 5 stars in all parameters: Clinical Excellence; Patient Safety; Adequacy of Facilities; Focusing on the Patient; and Population Satisfaction, revealed the newspaper «Expresso» last Saturday.
Of the ten private companies with the best rating (5 stars), in the Algarve region, the only one awarded was the Hospital Particular do Algarve.
