The Commission of Users of Via do Infante (CUVI) promotes today a "strong horn and a slow march of vehicles", which will pass by the Aquashow in Quarteira, where the traditional Pontal Festival of PSD will take place this evening, with the presence of of Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho.

It will be the «Marcha do Pontal», against the tolls on Via do Infante, which will pass by the Aquashow water park hotel, when the party organized by the PSD is already taking place.

There will be, stresses João Vasconcelos, a member of CUVI, “the prime minister, members of the government, deputies and other political leaders who introduced and defend the infamous tolls on Via do Infante”.

The meeting for the «Marcha do Pontal» is scheduled for 19 pm, in front of the café «Várzea da Mão, between Boliqueime and Quatro Estradas, next to the turnoff to Vale Judeu», on the EN 125, a place where «there is not much yet time, a motorcyclist died in a brutal road accident».

«At 19:30 pm, the slow march will start its route towards Quarteira, passing by the Roundabout of Quatro Estradas, Roundabout of the EN 396 Viaduct, U-turn at the Roundabout of BP de Quarteira, ending at Quatro Estradas", describe the organizers of the action .

João Vasconcelos adds that “the whistles and horns of those who fight for justice and dignity in the Algarve will be loudly heard during their visit to the Aquashow, where the prime minister, members of the government, deputies and others will be celebrating political leaders who introduced and defend the infamous tolls on Via do Infante».

“The Commission of Users is not resigned, like many users, and we will continue to protest and honk until the tolls are definitively abolished”, warns João Vasconcelos.

In recent days, the Users' Committee has been very active: on Saturday, a vigil took place near Praia da Coelha, in Albufeira, next to the President of the Republic's holiday home. Cavaco Silva's security cut the street so the activists wouldn't get too close, but the vigil passed anyway.

On Sunday, CUVI members visited Manta Rota beach, where Pedro Passos Coelho is on vacation.
