“Sustainable Tourism” is the theme of the Photography Contest, promoted by the Vila do Bispo City Council, as part of the Bandeira Azul 2012 program, which runs until the 21st of September.

The contest is aimed at all amateur and professional photographers, where each participant can submit up to five photographs.

The works submitted to the competition, in color or black and white, with 20×30 or 30×40 cm formats, will be appreciated according to the great theme “Sustainable Tourism” and must respect the existing themes in the municipality.

The three best works will be chosen by a jury made up of three elements, and the respective monetary prizes will be awarded at a ceremony to be held at the end of the Blue Flag Program, on October 13th, at the Interpretation Center of Vila do Bispo.

The works must be delivered until the 21st of September.

This initiative aims to sensitize the local community and visitors to the diversity of resources existing in the municipality, both at the historical-cultural level and at the landscape level, not forgetting the biodiversity that enables the practice of a sustainable tourist activity.

For more information, interested parties can consult the rules of participation in www.cm-viladobispo.pt or contact the Environment and Services Division at 282 630 600.
