Disabled people, whether temporary or permanent, can enjoy bathing at Praia do Vau, through the Accessible Beaches project of the Parish Council of Portimão, which runs from 11 July to the end of September.
The beach will be equipped with a marine vehicle – Tiraló – appropriate for this purpose, bringing its use several advantages, such as the possibility of access to the sea in a comfortable and safe way, total diving in the sea, or just getting your feet wet, without that it is necessary to get out of the vehicle, float in the water in a stable and safe position, with the help of prepared monitors, which will ensure people's access to the bath in safe conditions.
