Albufeira will host, between the 25th and 29th of July, another edition of the Al-Buhera Festival. For five days, there will be music, handicrafts, gastronomy and street entertainment, in a program marked by quality and diversity.

There are 50 artisans in the exhibition of activities ranging from leather goods, sculpture, fabric painting, jewelry and accessories, decorative arts, religious crafts and other materials. Algarve gastronomy products will also be present through regional sweets, cheeses, sausages and honey.

To liven up the program are several musical groups and local artists who will spend every night on the stage at Al-Buhera. Debuting the poster, the “Daddy Jack Band” promises to make a difference. This Algarve covers group, formed in 2010, has strong Funk, Soul and Disco influences. The five elements spice up your performances with a personal touch loaded with good vibes.

On July 26, pianist and composer João Galante presents his new work “Lusitana Blues”, an irresistible swing blues “made in Algarve”. With his original themes, such as Peneco Blues and Chamego, João Galante takes the audience on a journey through the world of blues, with a touch of swing.

On July 27th, it will be Paulo Matos and Nuno V's turn to meet on stage. The presenters of the radio programs “Reggae Portugal” and “Chilloutzone”, which air on Solar FM, will shake the city center with the latest news and great classics of Reggae Music, Electronics, R&B, HIP HOP, Soul and much more.

On Saturday, 28, entertainment is guaranteed with three groups from Albufeira. The band “Ben & the Pirates” promises a journey through Reggae, Funk, Soul, Ska, Punk Rock and Ethnic. The trio will perform covers by Bob Marley, The Yellowjackets, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, among others.

“Guaska Unit” is João Frade's latest project. The musician and composer from Albufeira brings us notes from Progressive Jazz and World Music.

Ending the night of July 28th, DJ Peter M will spread notes from Disco, Deep House, Soul, and 80's music.

The closing of Al'buhera will be in charge of the Banda Alhada, which will perform in a special register, on the 29th of July. It will be another opportunity to see and hear the best of traditional Portuguese music, with this band from Albufeira.

With this alignment, the poster for the 2012 edition of the Al'Buhera Festival is complete.
