The village of Laranjeiras, in the parish of Alcoutim, will have a new wharf. The work is by the Municipality of Alcoutim and was awarded for around 100.000 euros.
The work will transform the wharf space into a place for leisure and socializing, with more comfort and modernity, similar to the intervention already completed at the Guerreiros do Rio wharf.
The landscaping includes the creation of more shaded areas, the creation of a pedestrian path and playground area and the installation of a kiosk, with restrooms, terrace and picnic area (equipped with stoves).
The infrastructure, started last week, should be completed by the end of 2012.
