Portimonense won again today, Sunday, and is no longer the last classified in the II League. Portimão's team beat Penafiel at home by 3-2, in a game where they started to play with 10 elements at the 7th minute of the first half.

This is already the fourth consecutive victory for the team led by Lázaro Oliveira for the II Liga, which only did not leave the relegation zone because União da Madeira managed a draw in Arouca. The last classified is now Sporting da Covilhã, which lost to Oliveirense.

Portimão's team started the game in the worst possible way, with central Hammes being sent off and the referee scoring a penalty in favor of the visiting team. Manoel failed to convert from the maximum penalty and it was the Portimonense who ended up taking the lead, with a goal from Eridson, before the break.

In the second half, more goals and emotion arrived. Penafiel equalized, by Manoel, but saw Zambujo put the home team in advantage again. Valdemar still managed to tie the result, but, in added time, Rúben Fernandes managed to give another precious victory to Portimonense's aspirations to remain in the Liga Orangina.

With this result, the Portimonense rises to 15th position, still under the waterline, but just one point behind União de Leiria and 3 points behind the 12th place.
