A snapper weighing around eight kilos was made by students from the Lisbon Hotel School during the show cooking, which was then tasted by visitors who passed through that space.

During the event, the five main species traded at Lota de Sagres were on display: octopus, conger, rays, anglerfish and snapper.

Of the 10 auctions participating in the initiative, invited by Docapesca in Lisbon, the one in Sagres presented the best fish. This auction is characterized by the quantity and quality of the big fish traded there.

The fish from Lota de Sagres is a fish with Proof of Purchase at Lotta (CCL), therefore a product controlled from its origin to the final consumer that brings benefits not only to the consumer, but also to the environment.

This Certificate aims to qualitatively and quantitatively value the fish traded in the auctions on the Portuguese mainland and, consequently, the sustainability and profitability of the Fishing Sector in Portugal.
