The continuation of the time of Levante led this Thursday to the closing of the Lagos and Tavira bars, while the bar Faro/Olhão is only open to vessels over 10 meters, revealed the Zona Marítima do Sul.
Due to the strong maritime turmoil, the Meteorology Institute placed the southern Algarve coast under a yellow warning. The IM forecasts for today and at least until 3:00 am on Friday, the 30th, oSoutheast waves with 2-3 meters, decreasing to 2 meters.
The IM also foresees, for the next few days, periods of showers, sometimes heavy, hail and accompanied by thunderstorm, and moderate wind from the Southeast in the Algarve region. In the area of Sagres, the wind could be strong.
In the district of Beja, Meteorology predicts adownpours, sometimes heavy, of hail and accompanied by thunder, in a situation that will start to be felt above all from 19 pm today and until at least midnight tomorrow, the 30th.
