Last Saturday, March 24, was a day of celebration, joy and celebration at the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão, which opened its doors to the public for 12 hours to mark its third anniversary. About a thousand people passed through this cultural space and participated in the festivities.

It was on March 21, 2009 that the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão was officially inaugurated, with the presence of the then Minister of Culture António Pinto Ribeiro, as the mayor Francisco Leal insisted on recalling.

The mayor recalled, with the employees of the Auditorium, that day of celebration that, since then, has been a reason for celebration, even for the good results achieved by this culture house, one of the best in the Algarve.

With Aurea's performance as a major highlight, on Saturday night, throughout the afternoon, there was a lot of entertainment: It started with the tale for children aged five to 10, Construir um Sonho: O Zoo do Joaquim, followed by a theatrical moment with the participation of Companhia A Gorda and the Theater Group of the Youth House of Olhão, and later the conductor Jorge Alves directed the concert of the Group of the Music School of the Banda Filarmónica 1º de Dezembro, from Moncarapacho.

In the afternoon, it was like this… Families and young people entered and left, in a space that was open to everyone free of charge (except for the concert by Aurea) and where it was also possible to enjoy the exhibition by Jorge Pé-Curto, Aventuras e Desventuras do Great Predator.

The evening began with the offer, to those present, of a Red Wine and various delicacies of preserves and pâtés, as well as cocktails made by students from the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School. This new phase of the anniversary day initiatives was continued with the performance of an oriental dance group.

This was followed by the long-awaited concert by Aurea, which toasted the fans who filled the Auditorium with their greatest hits. The young singer, who performed on stage barefoot and managed to create an intimate tone with only five musicians accompanying her, spoke about 'her' Algarve and Olhão, where she said it was a pleasure to be there and interacted with the audience throughout the show. . With the air of a girl, she showed the potential of her voice for about an hour and a half of the show. And the public from Olhao surrendered…

The night ended, at dawn, with the sound of Triple Trouble, in a café-concert held next to the bar of the Municipal Auditorium. On that day, many well-known faces from the region and from the city of Olho passed through the concert hall. The party was really for everyone!
