The world's biggest stars in women's football pass through the Algarve, between February 29th and March 7th, in what is the 19th edition of the Algarve Cup.

The games will take place at the Lagos Municipal Stadium, Vila Real de Santo António Municipal Stadium, Nora Sports Park, in Ferreiras, Bela Vista Municipal Stadium, in Parchal, Dr. Francisco Vieira Stadium, in Silves, and Algarve Stadium (see games program).

FIFA is promoting, simultaneously with the event, a training workshop for female referees from all over the world, which will be attended by close to a hundred people, including female referees, monitors and officials from FIFA and the Portuguese Football Federation.

Mundialito has been gaining increasing relevance, being considered by many as the fourth most important event on the world women's football calendar, right after the World and European Championships, and the Olympic Games.

This sporting event, which has the support of the Municipal Councils of Albufeira, Lagoa, Lagos, Silves and Vila Real de Santo António and whose entry is free, is organized by the Portuguese Football Federation, Federations of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, in a partnership with the Football Association of the Algarve and FIFA.
