Two companies are already setting up in the two business parks of Tavira, in a global investment of 650 euros that allows the creation of 16 jobs, announced the City Council of this Algarve city.

The Silva & Silva group was the first company to move forward with the construction of a building for offices and a sales area in the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Tavira.

More recently, it was the turn of businessman Arménio Viegas, whose activity is the metalworking and assembly of metal structures, who already occupied the space acquired in the Business Location Area of ​​Tavira, and the works are expected to be completed in the first half of this year. year.

The completion of the infrastructure of the two business parks in Tavira led to the start of the first works on two lots acquired by companies from Tavira, contributing to boost the local economy.

The municipal company EMPET – Parques Empresariais de Tavira was created in 2002 with the objective of promoting the execution of infrastructure in two urban subdivisions of a business nature. in the Vale Formoso area, and in March 2008 the Tavira Business Location Area, located in Santa Margarida, close to the access node to the A2011/Via do Infante.

Once this phase of the process is completed, EMPET intends to assume itself as the managing entity of both equipment, enhancing the use of the Fairs and Exhibitions Park for the holding of national and international events and stimulating the Business Area as a welcoming hub for industrial companies , commerce and services.

With the start of the process of setting up companies, EMPET's Board of Directors intends to foster the local economy and contribute to the creation of jobs, through the promotion and dissemination of these new spaces qualified to accommodate a growing number of companies.
