Is the consumption of seafood the social expression of a physiological or biochemical need of human beings? Jaime Aníbal and Eduardo Esteves, researchers and professors at the University of Algarve, will answer this and other questions at the next Café Oceano, which takes place at 18:30 pm this Wednesday, the 7th, at Pátio das Letras, in Faro.

Café Oceano is a space for informal discussion on issues related to the ocean, which was born from an original idea by Oceanography students from the former Faculty of Sea and Environmental Sciences (FCMA) and by Professor Cristina Veiga Pires, who is also a professor at that faculty. and currently deputy director of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UAlg.

This get-together takes place once a month, in a café-bar in Faro. To participate, you don't need to be an expert, just curiosity and interest in the matters under discussion.

The panel of experts, responsible for the monthly presentation of each topic, and the moderation of the discussion, ensured by Cristina Veiga Pires, encourage the participation of the entire population.
