The helmet that Miguel Praia used in the last race of the Supersport World Championship at the Algarve International Circuit last October is up for auction. The objective is to raise funds in favor of the Firefighters Volunteers of Albufeira, the Portuguese pilot's residence city.

The Shoei helmet is a special version with the recording of 50 names of people who supported the Portuguese driver in this race and which was designed by Miguel Leiria.

The auction is taking place on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=137261169712570 until the day being the basis of bidding of 200 euros.

Miguel Praia has, throughout his life, assumed a solidary role in society and this initiative is once again proof of that: “As a citizen of Albufeira, I feel the obligation to actively involve myself with the Municipality, whether in the field training or clarification on the dangers of public roads but also in actions of a more solidary character, as I had already done with Santa Casa da Misericórdia”.

This time, “attention is on those who voluntarily are always there when we need them. In this way I hope that this special version of the Shoei, used in the last race, will reach the highest possible value, as the cause is noble”, he said.
