The Sé Church closes, on the 26th, at 21 pm, with a golden key, the V Festival of the Organ of Faro, with José González Uriol, recognized around the world as a specialist in Early Keyboard Music.

He participated in the most prestigious Festivals and International Competitions, having made numerous record recordings in Historical Organs.

He is the main organist of several Historical Organs and Artistic Director of the Early Music Course and Festival of Daroca since 1979.

He has several official awards for his work in the service of Music.

In a program focused on works from the XNUMXth-XNUMXth century, the highlight goes to the interpretation of compositions by Buxtehude and Pablo Bruna.

This concert has an entry donation of 2 euros, to be fully reverted to support a social institution in the municipality of Faro.

The V Organ Festival – Faro 2011 is organized by Associação Cultural Música XXI, in partnership with the Municipality of Faro and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve. Given the quality of previous editions, this year the Cultural Interest of the initiative was recognized by the Secretary of State for Culture.

It is supported by the Allgarve Program and the Hotel Santa Maria. The communication partners are the newspaper “barlavento”, DigitalmaisTV and Rádio “RUA FM”.
