Director of Festival Temps d'Images gives lecture at the University of Algarve

Rajele Jain, Festival programmer and director Images Temps, will be at 15:00 pm on December 14, in the 0.3 amphitheater of the Pedagogical Complex of the Campus da Penha, to talk about the Festival.

Since 2003, the transdisciplinary festival Images Temps performs, produces and presents creations that result from the crossing of different artistic languages, such as the performance and cinema, visual arts and music, fiction and dance.

This festival, which took place in Lisbon from the 14th to the 18th of November, and which is now in its fourth edition, this year received more than two hundred applications, with thirty-three films about art having been selected, twelve of which by Portuguese directors.

In this edition, the feature film 'A Arca do Eden', by the Portuguese Marcelo Félix, was distinguished as Best Film at the Film Awards for Films on Art. “Luz Teimosa”, by Luís Alves de Matos, was awarded the Best Portuguese Film on Art.

Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Rajele Jain has lived in Portugal since 2004. Master in Philosophy and Biology from two German universities, he studied Oriental philosophy and Indian culture at the University of Madras, India, in addition to having completed a postgraduate degree in Media Art and Design by the Academy of Media Art in Cologne (Germany).

In the last two decades, she has been involved in interdisciplinary and intercultural projects, showing her facets as an artist, reader, writer, curator, researcher and director.
