The Interuniversity Programming Marathon (MIUP) takes place this year at the University of Algarve, on October 22nd. The Department of Electronic and Informatics Engineering (DEEI) of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) organizes this annual programming contest, as part of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, for higher education students.

The winning team has direct access to the next phase, SWERC 2011, which will take place in Madrid, on November 19th and 20th.

Why participate in MIUP?

MIUP provides an excellent opportunity to test your problem-solving ability. In addition to the competitive aspect, the initiative also allows for the interaction and exchange of experiences between students and professors from Portuguese universities.

The competition is disputed by teams of 3 elements and involves a five-hour programming test, to solve 9 problems, using the programming languages C, C++ and Java.
