During the month of October, the Municipal Market of São Brás de Alportel promotes one of the most popular fruits of the season: Quince, so tasty and very rich in nutrients.
To make known the various potentials and applications of this fruit, the Municipal Market presents next Saturday, the 15th, a set of activities.
The aromas and flavors of Quince arrive at the Market very early next Saturday morning, by D.ª Rosa Dias, who will teach “How to Make Marmelade”, in a workshop that promises to surprise the palate, with a special participation by Quinta do Peral (Centre for Interpretation and Environmental Education of the Municipality).
In addition to learning to do, this workshop allows you to taste and taste these treasures of tradition, guarantees the City of São Brás.
In the same morning, visitors can also taste marmalades, quince jams and a set of traditional jams, in a show with a scent of Autumn, which results from the collaboration of Quinta da Fornalha and the Tradições Store.
Throughout the month, visitors can also enjoy and purchase, from the vendors in the Market, the tasty quinces, to make these succulent temptations.
Whether sweet, cooked or roasted, Quince is always a good companion for your autumn, providing many nutrients: mineral salts, proteins and vitamins.
