En october, there is marmelada in the market, but on the last Saturday of the month, guest chef Vitor Viegas will add a set of wonderful delicacies to his proposal for a surprising autumn suggestion, on the 29th of the month, from 10:00 am.
The interest in cooking emerged very early in the family of Chef Vitor Viegas, and the example of his brother, Chef Bruno Viegas, turned out to be the decisive step towards taking him to opt for the gastronomic route as well.
Cooking is a passion: bringing together ingredients, mixing tastes, innovating tradition and perfuming flavors, giving each dish the spices of refinement and mystery that characterize it.
Currently working at the Hilton Hotel, in Vilamoura, this young São Brasense prepares to challenge the taste buds in yet another Gastronomic Demonstration, which always takes place on the last Saturday of the month, at the Municipal Market of São Brás de Alportel.
The chef suggests: as a starter, a mysterious “Arjamolho de pomegranate, fresh goat cheese and D'Alfarroba bread crunch; followed by a “Rich Sea Soup, scented with stream mint”.
For the main course, a succulent “Brailed wild boar loin with wild mushrooms and quinces in two textures” and for dessert an irresistible “Almond delight with arbutus cream, lemon sorbet and brandy”… who can resist?
The month of October thus closes its program of activities in the municipal market with a suggestive Gastronomic Demonstration that once again brings to the stage the talent of young São Brasense chefs and the best products from the Municipal Market.
