Friendship (of words, images and things) is the motto for Nuno Faria's presentation, within the scope of the “Conversas à 5ª” initiative, taking place at the Cine-Teatro Louletano bar, on October 13th, by 21:00 pm.

It is time to reflect on the contemporary art projects carried out in collaboration in Loulé since 2008, whose cadence and constancy have placed the city in a unique place in the Portuguese cultural context in this specific area. What is contemporary art for? What place does it occupy in people's relationship with each other and with the world?

Gathered under the sign of friendship, several guests around a table share words, images and things, trying to define the true value of art: Eglantina Monteiro, Francisco Palma Dias, Joaquim Guerreiro, Vasco Célio, Miguel Cheta, Jorge Graça, among others .

Nuno Faria was born in 1971, in Lisbon, and lives and works between Lisbon and the Algarve. Graduated in Art History from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he is currently a consultant at the Fine Arts Service of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and a professor at the Advanced Photography Course at Ar.Co – Center for Arts and Visual Communication. He is also an independent curator.

The “Conversas à 5ª” concept aims to create an informal moment with the guest and the public, generating interaction and providing unusual proximity.

Admission is free.
