Learning to cook, photograph and finally enjoy is the motto for the next “Cooking Session”, a workshop held by the Free Association of Algarve Photographers (ALFA) in the old kitchen of the Museu do Trajo in S. Brás de Alportel, on the morning of October 5th, national holiday.

The “Cooking Sessions” aim to provide moments of pleasure in a different format, on a journey through charismatic and historic places where traditional cuisine and new trends in advanced cuisine go hand in hand. A different experience, always in an unexpected place.

This time, participants will be in the Museum's kitchen, where they will prepare and enjoy a menu that includes savory horse mackerel, a mountain stew with Aljezur sweet potato as a main dish and, finally, a fig dessert.

The training will be given by chefs and young talents from the Algarve's cuisine and photography, such as Miléne Nobre, the most distinguished young talent in the Algarve in the area of haute cuisine in recent times.

The recipes are prepared in a wood oven, using Portuguese products and genuine flavors from the rural Algarve.

In the second part, participants will learn how to get the best out of the camera, exploring product photography.

This is the fourth in a series of six workshops that ALFA promotes with the support of the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School (EHTA).

The first took place in the Baroque kitchen of the Seminary of S. José next to the Episcopal Palace in Faro, in March.

Subscriptions on www.alfa.pt limited to 16 participants at a price of 29 euros.
