Ricardo Mestre finishes Volta à Bulgaria in 7th, Tavira/Prio in 5th

Ricardo Mestre, in 7th place, was the best Portuguese in the Volta à Bulgaria, which ended yesterday, with the last 142 kilometer stage between Pirdop and Teteven. 

Ricardo Mestre got the 7th position in the last run, while André Cardoso cut the finish line in 9th position. 

In the final overall classification, Mestre thus rose to 7th position, 3 minutes and 58 seconds behind the winner of the race Ivailo Gabrovski (Nessebar), followed by André Cardoso, in 10th position, 4 minutes and 10 seconds away. 

Still regarding the classification of the Tavira/Prio team, in 40th position was the athlete Luís Silva, at 24 minutes and 1 second. 

Samuel Caldeira, who in Friday's stage had finished in 2nd place, was in 56th position, at 34 minutes and 50 seconds. 

João Pereira occupied the 70th position, at 54 minutes and 13 seconds, and finally Diogo Nunes in 86th position, at 1 hour, 44 minutes and 5 seconds from the top. 

The Tavira/Prio team reached 5th place by teams, which reflects an excellent performance, taking into account the 18 teams present. 

In the mountain classification, André Cardoso climbed to 2nd position.
