“Social Entrepreneurship and the Sustainability of the 3rd Sector” is the theme of the social forum that Olhão hosts at next September 9, at the Real Marina Hotel & Spa.  

This is an initiative of the municipality of Olhão, organized by the local Social Network, in partnership with the Fuseta delegation from the Portuguese Red Cross.

This forum, in which several specialists participate, is intended to provide organizations – Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS) – with mechanisms that enable them to achieve sustainability, competitiveness and innovation, through the presentation of good practices and innovative experiences. 

Registration is free, but mandatory, and must be done by September 5th., sending the registration form (see in www.cm-olhao.pt) for [email protected]

The opening session, at 9:30 am, will be attended by the Mayor of Olhão Francisco Leal, who chairs the session, the director of the Social Security District Center of Far, Arnaldo Oliveira, and the chairman of the direction of the Fuseta delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross, Francisca Ferreira. 

During the day there will be debates/communications and three working groups, in which the participants will debate themes such as “Affirming the 3rd Sector”, “The Social Responsibility of Companies”, “Social Entrepreneurship”, “The Financial Sustainability of the IPSS” or “ The importance of Social Entrepreneurship”. 

The closing session will be chaired by the councilor of Social Solidarity António Camacho Santos, who will have at his side the director of the Social Security District Center of Faro and the vice president of the Portuguese Red Cross, Cristina Louro.
