Almargem and the municipality of Aljezur have already signed the protocol establishing the intervention in Aljezur within the scope of Via Algarviana 2.

In the Via Algarviana II intervention project in the municipality of Aljezur, approved in Axis 2 of PO Algarve 21, the Almargem Association will complete the connection of Via Algarviana to the center of Aljezur, from Marmelete, with the installation of signage and information panels, on a route with a length of about 15 kilometers.

The Rota Vicentina will also be defined and installed, a route linking Vila do Bispo to Santiago do Cacém (a project in conjunction with Associação Casas Brancas and Via Algarviana), including infrastructure, information equipment, rest and leisure, promotion and dissemination.

The route is expected to cross 62 percent in the municipality of Aljezur and 38 percent in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, covering approximately 60 kilometres.

There will also be two circular routes complementary to the Rota Vicentina, each lasting approximately 10 kilometers.

In terms of information and promotion, information and dissemination materials for Via Algarviana will be produced (roll-ups, new promotional leaflets, A2 maps, removable photographic exhibition) and a promotional video will also be produced on Via Algarviana and Ecotourism in the Algarve.
